Trap-trap! A kobold-themed one-shot
by Eric R. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/28/2024 23:32:48

I grabbed this one-shot as a last-second pivot when our group couldn't meet. The group was already fighting Kobolds, so it made for a convenient detour for our campain.

Loved it. Simpe, direct, silly. Did a great job integrating Kobold lore and society. In fact, I loved it so much I decided to run it again with my other group a week later to fill in some dead-time while one of our group members was on vacation.

It's a great one-shot. Silly, just dangerous enough, and the puzzles feel challanging but not impossible.

Highly recommended. Really enjoyed it both times I ran it with my groups.

DL-DC-SF-01 Split or Fuse
by Trevor S. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/28/2024 16:31:35

This is a fun adventure that takes full advantage of the Dragonlance setting. I must admit that while a fan of the novels, I have never played a Dragonlance adventure before... but this make me want to! I love the atmosphere of playing in a hostile, occupied land and being a part of the heroic resistance in a fantasy world. I also love how this adventure has meaningful choices for the party to make that will have an impact.

Note that this is the first in a series, and obviously follows the Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen hardback. So do not expect this to provide sufficient background or closure on its own (without work from you). So I look forward to more, please!

Deities and Demigods of Faerûn
by Benjamin F. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/28/2024 14:25:30

One of the best features of the Forgotten Realms is the depth of information for you and your players to dig into, and this book is an excellent addition to any library. Each of the 51 gods are presented with an eye towards use at the game table, including origin myths (often with multiple choices to give their devotees something to debate about), relationships with other gods and the different ways they're depicted and worshipped by their faithful. The descriptions do a good job of characterising each deity, but the real strength lies in the story ideas embedded in each one.

Along with each deity you'll be given something to tie them to the material world, whether that be a champion for players to interact with or an artifact to be discovered. And, while the feel of each god is laid out, there's room for a player to adopt one as their own and add their own ideas to the mix.

There are three pieces of art, each one at the beginning of a section, so the book is mostly text, but the art chosen is wonderful and fits nicely with the minimalist layout. There are also two short stories that bookend the deity descriptions, introducing some of the characters you'll become acquainted with in the book at the beginning before resolving itself at the end, once you've become more familiar with the gods.

If you're looking for some ideas for your next Forgotten Realms game, or if you just love reading about different gods and religions, you would do well to pick Deities and Demigods of Faerûn up.

Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden Complete DM's Bundle (maps, guides, cheatsheets and more)
by Josh K. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/28/2024 08:38:15

Absolutely 100% ESSENTIAL for running this campaign.

I really like the overall setting, themes, and content in RotFM as written, but it is sort of a mess when it comes to story cohesiveness and how a DM should manage that story (numerous major storylines are not connected to eachother at all, or only loosely connected....which makes no sense).

But this bundle of content makes it actually possible for a DM to connect these story arcs and run the campaign in a more effective manner.

Basically, I don't think you can easily run a campaign for RotFM that makes sense and is enjoyable (from a story perspective for players AND as a DM trying to implement that story) without the content in this bundle.

You'll still have to do some work as a DM, but this bundle helps tremendously.

Highly recommend!

Wyrms of the Realms: Arveiaturace
by Josh K. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/28/2024 08:33:01

Very useful, especially if you are running RotFM and your party interacts with Arveiaturace.....but even if you are just interested in using this classic Great Wyrm in your homebrow. For the price, you really can't go wrong. I used this supplement for my most recent RotFM adventure and I found it well worth my money and time.

Monster Manual Expanded (5E)
by Josh K. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/28/2024 08:29:02

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Fantastic resource. Incredibly useful. Great artwork. This, in conjunction with my copy of Flee Mortals by MCDM and Sly Flourish's Forge of Foes has basically made my original WOTC monster manual almost irrelevant.

A Wrestling Wizard's Favor
by Cindy P. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/28/2024 04:35:32

This was SUCH a hilarious one shot. I loved the puns and NPCs, as did my party. Though it's been months since we played this, they still keep in contact with some of the NPCs from this adventure - they love them so much!

If you're looking for something that's not your standard, run-of-the-mill adventure, and you like humor, you should definitely check this out!

Points of Interest: Karrnath
by Albert H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/27/2024 19:10:02

Points of Interest is a great line of products from this creator! Karrnath is well done and is a useful DM resource for adding the right flavor for visits to that nation in Eberron. For DM's it provides good plot hooks and ambiance that can be easily built into something bigger - It really adds a lot of richness to your Eberron setting.

Best of all, the content is well organized, easy to read, and easy to run for that spur-of-the-moment session for any level. I love the sidebars which provide extra context.

Did I mention that the graphics and images are beautiful?

The Feather of Aka'ayah - La Piuma di Aka'ayah
by Alessandro P. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/27/2024 17:36:47

Old School Guide to Dungeon of the Mad Mage
by Dylan S. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/27/2024 08:59:23

Wildly creative, insightful, fun. I've been using this as a resource to run Dungeon of the Mad Mage as an open-table megadungeon, and frankly it as critical a resource as the original book.

by Brittany W. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/26/2024 22:46:28

My players loved this! One of them was completely new to D&D and it was my first time DMing. The last boss fight was a nail-biter, and one of my players said the stained glass golem fight was one of their favorites ever playing! Highly recommend!

Into the Dragon's Maw (5E Adventure)
by Daniel L. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/26/2024 22:43:02

This module was extremely adversarial, it robs the players of agency and the twist is not well conceived. Unless you are into adversarial DMing or your players like being tricked (and not in a fun way) I do not recommend. The flashback mechanic is a good idea in theory but it takes a lot of buy in from players and there is a delicate balance of meta gaming that happens. This module felt less fun for the players and more "Look at what a clever DM I am!"
